The World Cup of Diving kicks off in Montreal in February

The World Cup of Diving will be kicking off its 2026 season in Montreal next month from February 26th through to March 1st at the Olympic park.

Montreal boasts a distinguished legacy in international diving. Canadian diver Matt Cullen, gold medalist in the 10m platform in the junior category in 2022, said he “can’t wait” to once again see the world’s best at the Olympic Park Sports Centre, an iconic venue built for the ’76 Olympic Games.

“Winning gold in Montreal at the Junior Worlds is a memory I’ll always carry with me. I can’t wait to see Montreal shine on the international stage again,” said Cullen.

The 2027 edition will also follow the same pattern, with Montreal opening the competition from the 25th to the 28th of February. An as of yet undisclosed Mexican host city will host the World Cup of Diving from the 4th to the 7th of March before the climatic finale takes place in China, with Beijing once again staging the Super Final from the 30th April to the 2nd of May.

That same year, Rijeka will become the world capital of junior diving. From 21 to 28 August, the Kantrida Pool, located along the Adriatic Sea, will welcome the best talents aged between 14 and 18. World Aquatics Bureau Member Josip Varvodic stated that “this is an opportunity to showcase Croatia’s passion for aquatic sports and its commitment to developing the next generation.”
