The 2025 Pouzza fest in photographers by Samantha Morris

Now that the 2025 edition of Montreal’s premier punk rock festival is over, and hopefully everyone has had a chance to dry out from the monsoon like weather that fell over the Pouzza weekend, we’ve got a boatload worth of photographs to share with everyone.

We had two photographers hard at work, covering the Pouzza weekend, slopping about in the rain and the mud capturing as much as they possibly could, and while it is impossible to catch every band that played, and every venue, we did our best to cover as much as we could.

The following are the photographs from our photographer, Samantha Morris – if you enjoy them, we invite you to follow her instagram account, and while you’re at it, maybe slap the Modern Free Press account a like and a little love, too.

Hopefully everyone had as much fun as we did capturing these shots, and with the 2026 edition of Pouzza fest already confirmed – we already can’t wait to get back and do it all over again. Maybe the rain can fuck right off next time, though!

For everyone that is sitting around, craving more punk rock festivities; fear not – there’s a bunch more coming up in and around Montreal this summer. Some will take a little bit of a road trip to get to, but it’ll be a worthwhile adventure. If there’s one thing we do well in this part of the world; it’s partying!

There’s Festival Au Lac, Envol et Maccadam, Music 4 Cancer that also raises funds to fight cancer (despite the name, it’s not for cancer! Trust me, I asked!) – and lets forget the upcoming Jackalope festival that brings extreme sports like skateboarding to the city!

These are just a few reasons why they call it la belle province, mon tabarnac!
