The semi-final match between AFC Toronto and the Montreal Roses has been postponed due to snowfall

Weather in Canada can be a volatile thing, and while the first of two semi-final matches last week was bitterly cold, the second match that was scheduled for today has been postponed due to a large amount of snow that fell on Toronto.

The match has been postponed until tomorrow, Monday November 10th but a kick-off time has yet to be announced, as crews work to clear the snow off the pitch so that action can resume.

When the game does begin, AFC Toronto will retain its two-goal advantage it earned by defeating the Montreal Roses on November 1st at Stade Boreale in Laval.

The Roses will be looking to emulate the Vancouver Rise FC performance from last night, as Rise FC came back to shock the Ottawa Rapids FC. As aggregate score was tied at the end of regulation time in the second match the teams were forced into two 15-minute periods of extra time, where Vancouver earned the win on penalty kicks.

AFC Toronto defeated the Montreal Roses on November 1st, on goals in the 8th minute from Nikayla Small and the 70th minute from Kaylee Hunter. While the hill to climb is steep for the Roses, anything can happen and this second leg match-up should prove to be well worth the wait, once the weather permits it to begin that is.
